Monday, August 22nd, 2011Sam Kestenbaum
Wednesday, July 6th, 2011My good old buddy Sam Kestenbaum has been in the Middle East for about half a year now, and he’s been writing some very interesting material. He writes mainly about Palestine (where he lives) and the surrounding areas, but he also visited Egypt and wrote about the revolution there. All can be found by clicking on his name.
You should check it out.

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011Yoshitaka Amano Interview
Thursday, June 16th, 2011An Interview 1UP did with Yoshitake Amano, one of my favorite illustrators. He’s most known for doing the character designs for all the Final Fantasy games, but he has also worked on many movies, books, and animations.
The guy got hired to work for an animation studio in Tokyo when he was 15… he has skills.
Takashi Murakami – Superflat First Love
Monday, June 13th, 2011Takashi Murakami is one of my favorite fine artists right now. I love the way he has taken ultra poppy imagery and turned into high end art. His characters are pretty charming too, and it’s cool to see them in motion in this short Murakami made for Louis Vuitton.
Murakami also did the art for Kanye West’s album ‘Graduation’.
Robyn Documentary
Sunday, June 5th, 2011I am a big Robyn fan, and this documentary, which originally aired on Swedish television, is very interesting. It’s really interesting how she describes her evolution as a musician, and also as a pop star. The interviews with the producers are also really cool.
I’ve posted all four parts below, press the ‘cc’ button for the english translation.

Saturday, June 4th, 2011Fungus Segment
Sunday, January 9th, 2011I don’t know if you’ve seen this segment on Fungus from the Planet Earth series, but you should. It’s incredible. The time lapse is amazing and then there’s the thing growing out of the ants brain… wow. It’s also kind of creepy how the spores in the ant’s brain make it walk to a higher elevation so when they explode out of his skull they can spread farther.
Fungus is weird indeed.
